The important terms that apply when using Scrap.Autos and submitting a vehicle.
Vehicle requests are invitations to review, not binding offers or purchase agreements. A price, purchase, pickup, payment method or timeline is never guaranteed by a website submission.
You must own the vehicle or be authorized to act. VIN, identity, ownership, liens and applicable SAAQ requirements may be verified before any completed transaction. Mandatory legal rights remain applicable.
Before any vehicle changes hands
Scrap.Autos is a request-submission channel. Submitted information or a preliminary response is not a firm offer or price guarantee. Scrap.Autos may request more information or photos, inspect the vehicle and discuss transaction terms before proposing to buy. No sale is final until expressly agreed in accordance with applicable law.
The person submitting must own the vehicle or have valid authority to act. Depending on the transaction, the team may need to check the VIN, registration, liens, security interests, insurance status, relevant paperwork and the right to sell. Inaccurate or missing information can prevent or delay a purchase.
SAAQ procedures differ between handing a vehicle to a recycler with a receipt and transferring it to a registered dealer-recycler with a transaction certificate. Who completes the scrapping or ownership procedure must be confirmed for the particular transaction. Consult the official SAAQ instructions and keep your documents.
Requests are normally considered from Canadian locations roughly within 500 km of the service hub. The approximate radius is not a promise of service at any address. We confirm pickup timing and conditions only after agreeing to purchase the vehicle. This site does not promise free towing, emergency roadside assistance, a fixed payment amount or a guaranteed response time.
Accurately disclose known damage, mechanical problems, modifications and hazards. Remove personal belongings before handover unless otherwise agreed. Do not attempt to handle hazardous components, damaged EV systems or fluids yourself; advise Scrap.Autos of possible hazards.

Yes. Running, non-running, damaged, rusty and end-of-life vehicles can be submitted for review.
If Scrap.Autos purchases the vehicle, pickup availability and timing are confirmed directly with you.
The VIN helps, but you can start the request without it and add it later if needed.
Scrap.Autos reviews the actual vehicle, condition, reusable parts, location and recoverable materials before confirming a proposal.
